Claim Jumper’s Frozen Blackberry Pie.
Claim Jumper’s Blackberry Pie from the freezer section of the grocery store. It was good, not great, but good. I added a fair amount of Cinnamon and Sugar to the top crust, as I do with most Pies.
The instructions note to line your cookie sheet with foil before placing the Pie in the oven. Be sure to do that, since mine made a bit of a mess. I’m not sure if that happens each time, but it’s best for cleanup if it does. I was glad I wasn’t serving it to company, since it didn’t look as pretty as those that haven’t bubbled over.
I did like the ease of preparation and the smell of it baking in the oven, so I’m not going to completely rule it out as a future dessert of the week.

i just bought my second blackberry pie. as i was eating the pie i noticed that the bottom half of the pie is a gelatin like filling, ie only the top part of the pie filling is made up of berries! reading the box it says we only use plump, juicy marionberries…surrounded by flaky pastry crust.
the pictures on the bx do not show any filling, nor is there any mention of any.
i hope the dutch apple is not the same way. very dissapointed’it says they are passionate about offering hearty and delicious foods what a CLAIM get it?
Not only is the pie not as good as it was in the past, it is muh smaller, (I save the disposable tins)they are not the same size…who are you fooling?
I know that Claim Jumper has sold it’s restaurants to Landow ? copay, perhaps a letter to them ans CONAGRA FOODS might let them know we are no longer fooled!
That’s an icky bummer Rosie — You may want to contact the Claim Jumper directly at http://www.claimjumper.com/

I bought a frozen Dutch Apple Pie at Albertsons Super Market .It looked so nice when l took it out of the oven l sliced it and served it to my guest but to my surprise the very first bite she took right away l noticed she didnt eat anymore so l asked her what happened well to my embarrassement she found a long hair in her slice good thing l had only taken a small bite because that really killed my appitite for pie after that l just dumped it in the trash..and it wasnt in the topping it was in the apple deep inside . l love all your pies and have never had problems with any of them but now l dont think l can take a chance like that anymore l dont like hair in my food not even my own it really spoils everything and before u ask if it might be my hair no way ….
today is 2/27/2012 this is my third blackberry pie i have eaten in 6 months, hoping that this last one would taste like the ones i’m used too. like someone else said before a little less fruit and extremely sweet. it use to taste sour ,like what the fruit should taste like. but now they just put too much syrup or corstarch or just plainly too much sugar. please claim jumper company answer my comment so i can buy more of your pies and tell friends about it. it was too be true while it lasted too bad you change the contents. the pies got cheaper and so the quality. i used to pay 7 to 8 dollars a pie. now a pay 4 to 6 dollars. but quality stinks. so please charge 10 dollars if you have too, but gives us quality.
I love the blackberry pie but I do agree with one other person who said it seems like there is less fruit than before. Also, I got a berry complete with stem and stickers! I really don’t appreciate that – when I bit into it it was very uncomfortable and when I took the berry put of my mouth the stem stuck my finger that I now have to get out before it festers. Not so happy about this situation!!! What happened to quality control?
I have raved about Claim Jumpers frozen pies for years, but the last Blackberry pie I had seemed overly sweet and didn’t seem to have as much fruit as usual. Say you haven’t changed your recipe !!!
